Experience
Have tutored writing and adult literacy in the community. Tutored for 3 years at NMU's Writing Center. Taught composition, creative writing, and literature classes at NMU and the U of Alabama. Served in AmeriCorps for a year at Gwinn High School supporting and developing projects in their English classrooms and served as a general tutor before and after school. Regularly administer standardized tests such as ACT, LSAT, GRE, MTTC, CSCS, and CPT. I continue to teach a variety of courses in writing, creativity, collage, and dance; coordinate projects such as open mics, local events for National Poetry Month, and networking groups. I love helping others one-on-one or in small groups since I see the immediate difference I can make in getting someone to meet a goal or get a good grade.

Hobbies
I love writing (poetry, fiction, and things in between), reading, working out at the gym, yoga, dance, horseback riding, coordinating various events (rummage sales, performances, wedding receptions, etc.), doing odd jobs for folks (yardwork, cleaning basements and attics, pet-sitting), and volunteering wherever I can. I get the biggest kick out of helping people with whatever they need.
