My GPA last semester was a 3.0 and will raise with the grades from Winter of 2010 semester. I am junior at Northern Michigan University. I am an English Graduate Bound Major so I have the advantage of learning a variety of English skills.
Experience
I would love to be a tutor to help students find the enjoyment of learning especially with English. I am working towards a PHD in English so I think tutoring would benefit me as well as whomever I am studying with. I have taken a few college courses in German. I have also taken Basic English 111, Literature, Critical Thinking and Writing, Creative writing, and Applied literary Theory. I am also a writer for The North Wind, our on campus newspaper.

Hobbies
My name is Kate, I am a geek but love to have fun! My biggest activities are reading, writing, gardening, playing guitar, harmonica, singing, hunting, fishing, and laughing. I am a part of the south superior climbing club, I am constantly in the woods, I am health conscious and very active. I have picketed against sulfide mining, and road tripped to Lansing in protest of education cuts. I was also in the philosophy club for a while. I came from a small town. My sophomore year in high school I decided to home school myself through Citizens Highschool and I graduated with a 3.6. I plan to be published this summer. I have always been a scholastic connecting point for my friends through all of my academic career. I am open minded and enjoy embracing my concern with our world. I am always searching for what I can do to help us!
