Experience
Having tutored my fellow peers all throughout high school and college I can help in many different subjects. I took all AP and College classes throughout high school. I took the ACT with and without writing. I want to be a tutor because I love working with kids of all ages and really like to help them in any way possible. So far at NMU I have taken Biology, Chemistry, Intro to Theatre, Health, English, Intro to Diagnostics, Mythology, Microbiology, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Creative Fiction Writing, Choir, Acting, Stage Craft, History of Theatre, Voice Lessons, Stage Design, Organizational and Behavioral Management, Stage Management, and Social Problems. Before being a theatre major I was a Clinical Laboratory Science: Medical Laboratories major. For the past three summers I worked at a YMCA Summer Camp, Camp Ihduhapi and worked with age groups from first graders to high school seniors. I also was a part of a teaching program at my high school called TASK. We would go to elementary classrooms and teach children things they don't get taught in class, like how to stand up to bullies or read peoples body language. During high school I was a confirmation leader/teacher for middle schoolers at my church in Minneapolis. I am First Aid/CPR/AED certified in adults, children, and infants.
